For the fourth consecutive week, weekend demonstrations were held to raise local awareness for the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of George Floyd's death at the hands of Minneapolis police. On Sunday, a group of a few dozen protestors gathered at Freedom Corner in Capaha Park to raise signs in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and knelt for an 8-minute, 46-second-long moment of silence in Floyd's memory.
