Biology professor gets Pride Award

Dr. Allen Gathman, a biology professor at Southeast Missouri State University, has received the Pride Award.

The award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching, as well as a high level of scholarship and service.

"The main thing is that I'm down in the trenches doing my day-to-day work," Gathman said. "It makes me feel as if people out there think I am doing something right."

Gathman has been a member of the biology department at Southeast since 1985.
