BESSIE M. RUMFELT

JONESBORO, Ill. - Bessie M. Rumfelt, 82, died Sunday, June 9, 1991, at the Hillside Terrace Nursing Home in Cobden, Ill.

She was born July 27, 1908, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Charles and Sarah Wineford Rockwell Kenney. She married Vester Rumfelt on Aug. 14, 1926. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by two sons and one grandson.

Survivors included three sons, Joe Rumfelt of Jonesboro, Jim Rumfelt of Fulton, Ill., and Lyman Rumfelt of Morrison, Ill.; one sister, Clara Livesay of Ware, Ill.; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star Lodge in Jonesboro and a member of the Galilee Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 tonight by the Order of Eastern Star Lodge 163.
