CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A Bertrand, Missouri, woman is in jail after allegedly attempting to steal a car and assaulting its owner.
Holly Suzanne Parker, 32, is charged with theft/stealing of property valued at more than $500, second degree domestic assault and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. All three charges are Class C felonies punishable upon conviction by up to seven years
Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore said deputy Mike Borders was notified of an assault Saturday at a Bertrand residence. The victim told Borders that Parker had attempted to steal her car and then assaulted her after she refused to hand over her keys.
