BENTON -- Joey Mack, 14, of Benton completed all the requirements to receive the rank of Eagle Scout.
For his Eagle Scout service project, Mack along with co-workers constructed and painted picnic tables for the Senior Citizen Housing Authority in Benton.
He also restored rural mail boxes for the senior citizens.
As a member of Troop 25, Mack has been active in scouting since 1984. He earned the Arrow of Light Award and has earned a total of 28 merit badges. He was also elected to the Order of Arrow by his fellow scouts. He is currently instructor and has previously served as librarian and quartermaster for Troop 25.
Mack is a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, where he has served as an acolyte for six year and earned the "Ad-Altare-Dei" religious award for Catholic scouts. He is also a member of C.Y.C., a freshman at Kelly High School and a member of FFA.
He is the son of David and Marcella Mack.
