BENTON, Mo. -- A 40-year-old Benton man was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine last week after Scott County deputies allegedly found materials to manufacture the substance in his residence and outside in a dog kennel.
Jeremya Gray gave deputies consent to search his home where officers found lithium strips, syringes, cold packs, Coleman fuel, tubing and aluminum foil, according to a Scott County Sheriff's Department news release. Additional items to manufacture methamphetamine were found in a vacant dog kennel next to the residence.
Gray is charged with possessing materials used to manufacture methamphetamine with the intent to distribute the controlled substance.
He's also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was in custody of the Scott County Sheriff's Department Monday afternoon on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
Rick Walter, Scott County sheriff, said Gray's methamphetamine lab was the 15th his office has collected in 2010.
