BENTON, Mo. -- A Benton man was arrested Monday after threatening a woman with a knife.
Travis Huckabay, 41, was charged with second-degree domestic assault after Scott County deputy John Caudle was called to a residence at 9:28 p.m. Monday.
"Deputy Caudle met with the female victim, [who] stated Huckabay had assaulted her, threatened her with a knife, and kept her from leaving the residence," said Sheriff Rick Walter. "Deputy Caudle observed bruising on the victim's neck."
Huckabay, who was at the home, was arrested.
In a news release, Walter urged those who are in an abusive relationship to seek help and those who have violent tendencies to seek counseling before they find themselves incarcerated.
