Mayor Joe Stuckey called the meeting to order. Those in attendance were: Howard Bollinger, alderman Ward I; Geri Hennemann, alderman Ward I; David Mack, alderman Ward II; Jim Simmons, alderman Ward II; Connie Barnett, city clerk; Roy Moore, police; Mike Fodge, resident; Chris Silman, resident.
* Minutes from Sept. 2 presented. Motion to accept by Alderman Bollinger, second by Alderman Mack. Ayes 4, nays 0.
* NBC minutes from Sept. 10 presented. Motion to accept as read by Alderman Simmons, second by Alderman Bollinger. Ayes 4, nays 0.
* Discussion held with officer Moore regarding wearing proper uniforms. Officer Moore stated he thought as chief he was to wear a white shirt. After discussion, decision to allow him to wear white police style shirt. All other patrolmen to wear full uniform.
* Officer Moore requested purchase of two digital hand-held radios and one digital for the car. Barnett to solicit bids.
* Request for sewer adjustment from Kathy Brewer and Kerry Phillips because of repairs. Motion to adjust to normal by Alderman Mack, second by Alderman Bollinger. Ayes 4, nays 0.
* Discussion held regarding purchase of sewer camera and thermal scanner. Matter tabled pending further research.
* Mike Fodge and Chris Silman present regarding ditch between their properties. Cody had spoken with them previously regarding the situation and is expecting Larry VanGennip this week to clean out the ditch.
* Bill 2014-02 establishing requirement of financial responsibility for motor vehicles presented and read first time. Motion to approve by Alderman Mack, second by Alderman Bollinger. Ayes 4, nays 0.
* Bill 2014-02 read second time. Motion to approve by Alderman Hennemann, second by Alderman Mack. Ayes 4, nays 0.
* Bill 2014-02 read third time and declared passed by Mayor Stuckey. Ordinance 583.
* Bill 2014-03 establishing offense of displaying false evidence of insurance read first time. Motion to approve by Alderman Bollinger, second by Alderman Mack. Ayes 4, nays 0.
