BENT CREEK ATTRACTS AREA YOUTHS TO TWO-DAY TOURNEY

Brent Kerns, 17, of Anna, Ill., lines up his putt on #17 at Bent Creek Golf Course. Kerns won the Boys 17-18 Jim Belknap Junior Tournament division by firing a 36-hole total 142.

Gabe Estes of Jackson won the Boys 15-16 division shooting 156 over 36 holes. Ryan Griggs of Sikeston won the 13-14 age division with a 160. Tyson Manering won the 10-12 age division with a two-day total of 80 for 18 holes. He won in a playoff by sinking a 9-iron shot from 100 yards out for an eagle on hole #2. In the Girls division for 13-14 year olds, Hayley Meyer of Chesterfield was the winner with a 180 and Julie Gerecke shot a 211 to win the 15-16 age division.
