A benefit account for G.G. House has been set up at Capital Bank in Cape Girardeau. Paul and Charlotte House of Fruitland, G.G.'s grandparents, are fighting for custody of the 5-year-old girl.

They said her mother, the Houses' daughter-in-law, is an unfit parent. G.G.'s mother, Karen House, recently told a gay newspaper that she has a live-in female lover who has a good relationship with G.G. Paul and Charlotte House claim Karen also is involved in witchcraft and has abused G.G., although there is no proof.

Karen House declines to comment on their allegations.

The Houses, who are disabled, have taken out several loans to pay legal expenses. They went before Judge Steven Omar, who is handling G.G.'s case, on Dec. 14. The Houses said he ordered them to pay about $12,200 to a psychiatric evaluator, G.G.'s guardian ad litum and others involved in the case.

The couple's two vehicles recently were repossessed, and they are in danger of losing their home. But they feel strongly about keeping G.G.

Donations to the benefit account may be mailed to: G.G. House Benefit Account, care of Capital Bank, P.O. Box 1519, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-1519, to the attention of Debbie Suhre.
