The grant is from the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund. More than $597,000 in grants will be awarded for outdoor recreation projects in Missouri at a meeting Tuesday of the State Interagency Council for Outdoor Recreation in Jefferson City.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund receives money from off-shore oil and gas rights leases, federal surplus property sales, and motorboat fuel taxes.
