Head Start, a two-week piano basics class that will give beginning students a jump start on traditional piano lessons, will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings Aug. 7-18.
Students will learn beginning note and rhythm reading and keyboard familiarity. The class is designed for first- through fourth-graders.
The 45-minute class will be taught by Christy Roethemeyer at the Southeast Missouri Music Academy. The academy is located in Brandt Hall on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
