The Friction-Camp band and Randy Liner will provide entertainment for Port Cape Girardeau's Halloween Masquerade party Friday night.
Bob Camp, Freddie Friction and Kelly Keene comprise the Friction-Camp band, which is also working on an album in Memphis.
"Working with people like Jim Dickinson and the producer Skip McQuinn is a dream come true," Camp said. "The great thing is that we don't have to pay anything for use of the studio or the cost of cutting the album. It's like they're telling us to just go ahead and have a hoot."
Camp plays guitar, Friction spoons and Keene is on snare drums. Liner will play solo guitar and sing to open the night of entertainment.
Cover charge of $5 includes a ticket for a free drink. Doors open at 8 p.m.
There also will be a contest for the top three Halloween costumes. The prize for first place is $200. Port Cape will provide a dinner for four to the second-place winner; third place s dinner for two at Port Cape Girardeau.
Finalists for the costume contest will be named at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The winner will be announced at midnight.
