BAND PERFORMS TONIGHT

The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band will perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Capaha Park band shell.

The free concert will feature the Freedom Celebration cast from First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Sister Mary Ann Fischer, principal at Notre Dame Catholic High School, is the guest conductor.

The band will perform "Salute to Freedom March," by Dean Howard, "Interlochen Variations," by Douglas Jones, "Lassus Trombone" by Henry Fillmore, "Salute to Bob Hope" arranged by Warren Barker, "A Welch Rhapsody" by Glare Grundman, and highlights from "Fiddler ofn the Roof" arranged by John Warrington.

Those attending the concert are asked to bring a lawn chair. The band is conducted by Ronald Nall.
