KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The B-2 stealth bomber is back in flight.

The U.S. Air Force grounded the fleet of planes in late February after the Spirit of Kansas plunged to the ground shortly after takeoff from a Guam base en route to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, where the 21-plane fleet is based. The crash was the first since the planes' maiden flights nearly 20 years ago.

Base officials say the Missouri base has launched about 20 B-2 bomber flights since April 15.

The Air Force has finished its investigation into the crash, but the results are not public. An investigation by a separate safety board is expected to become public next month.

Both pilots ejected safely in the Guam crash. There were no injuries on the ground or damage to buildings.
