Pvt. Erica D. Ayers has enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard, a reserve component of the U.S. Army. Ayers, a power generation equipment repairer, is assigned to the 175th Military Police Battalion in Columbia, Mo. She is the daughter of Felicia Ayers of Columbia and granddaughter of Louis and Joe Ayers of Cape Girardeau. Ayers is a 2001 graduate of Hickman High School in Columbia.
