Hahs, who received the ~Top 100 award for the 100 best sales performers, is associated with Northwestern's T. Ronald Hahs district agency in Cape Girardeau.
Northwestern Mutual is the nation's ninth largest life insurer, with assets of more than 435 billion.

Ann Swanson, manager of Gulliver's Travel Agency Inc., 101 N. Kingshighway, and her husband, Marvin Swanson, recently completed a seven-day Caribbean cruise.
The Swansons sailed from Fort Lauderdale to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Marten aboard the new Costa Classica ship, which started service in January 1992.
As special guests of Costa Cruise Lines, the Swansons had opportunities to tour the bridge and engine room of the ship.

Dr. James B. Chapman, a Cape Girardeau cardiologist, was the featured speaker Wednesday at the national sales meeting of Advanced Cardiovascular Systems Inc. in Carlsbad, Calif.
At the meeting the release of a new catheter for balloon angioplasty, the ACS RX Streak .010, was announced.
Chapman was involved in the development of the catheter line and has been one of the early evaluators of the catheter. He discussed features of the catheter and indications for its use with the company's sales and clinical force as they prepare to release it to cardiologists worldwide.
Chapman is associated with Cardiovascular Consultants of Cape Girardeau Inc., and is a member of the medical staff at Southeast Missouri Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center.

Dr. John Russell of Cape Girardeau recently graduated from the medicine-pediatrics residency program at the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria, Ill.
The program is conducted through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and St. Francis Medical Center of Peoria.
Russell received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.

Several employees of Dana Corp. recently completed a course in statistical process control, a tool that helps employees understand variations in manufacturing so that they can better control the process. It focuses on prevention of defects rather than their detection.
