Linda K. Fulton, director of Professional Care Management Services here, recently attended the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Manager's Spring Educational Meeting at Louisville, Ky.

She moderated sessions discussing geriatric care management with home care as the outcome. Another workshop topic was on improving quality of life for longer-living adults through preventative actions in such areas as safety, health care, and recreation.

CARBONDALE, Ill. Ruth Altekruse, owner of Ruthie's Clothing in Carbondale, has been named 1992 Illinois Business Advocate of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

She will receive her award in Chicago in early May. Ruthie's Clothing, which opened in 1968 with a $4,000 investment, is now a $750,000-a-year operation.
