Avenue of Flags honors veterans

On July 4 weekend, 741 flags were displayed in Cape County Park North. Twenty-three flags were added to these during the Avenue of Flags annual ceremony, which dedicated the flags to local veterans of foreign wars.

The annual Avenue of Flags ceremony took place on Veterans Memorial Plaza in Cape County Park - North. 

Prior to July 4, Adult and Teen Challenge volunteers installed 741 flags at Cape County Park - North. 

During the ceremony, 23 flags were dedicated to local veterans of foreign wars. David Cantrell carries a flag before it is installed in the park.
