Quilts are made from 30 quilt squares, each containing an inspirational message from its donor or another serviceman.

The project was started for families of Marines but was extended as the numbers of lives lost increased. A total of 2,320 quilts or 69,600 blocks are currently needed for all branches of service. For more information, visit www.marine comfortquilts.us.
