RacePark's future still undecided
The owners of the Auto Tire and Parts NAPA RacePark in Benton, Mo., still haven't finalized any agreements that would result in racing at the track this year. But one of the owners, Doug Friese, said it is still possible as negotiations continue.
The drag strip at the track also has not opened yet this season.
Cape Country Club seeking new pro
The Cape Girardeau Country Club is in the process of finding a new golf professional to replace Billy Birk, whose last day was Thursday.
Dave Keisheimer, Cape Country Club general manager, confirmed the position became vacant last week. He said a committee was working on finding a replacement.
"It's probably more of a regional search," Kaesheimer said. "We'd like to get somebody in the area -- southern Illinois or Missouri -- who understands the seasons, knows the clubs in the area and has a network of golf pros.
