CAPE GIRARDEAU -- AAA Auto Club of Missouri and AAA Travel Agency has completed expanding and remodeling its offices at 1903 Broadway. Steve Jansen Construction Co. was general contractor for the project, which started in December.
"We are having an open house Saturday March 23," said travel agency officer manager Jane Harte. "We are giving two Trans World Airlines tickets to anywhere in the world they fly as a grand prize."
"The office is now 50 percent larger with the expansion," she said. "We are using the 20 x 36-foot space formerly occupied by the Subdelites deli." The office was remodeled during the process. New floor and wall coverings and lighting was added.
Two new computer link ups have been incorporated in the travel agency. One system that connects with all the major airlines enables boarding passes to be printed on the airline tickets at the point of purchase. Another link up allows the agency direct access with American Express, which allows faster transactions for customers buying travelers checks.
Besides Harte, travel agents include Joyce Chronister, Connie Copsy, Betty Drace, Jan Eckert and Karen McWilson. Agents for the Auto Club are Jack Kramer, Bob Roloff and Jim Burke.
