POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Authorities are searching for a Poplar Bluff man they believe may be responsible for thefts of firearms and all-terrain vehicles.

Austin Million, whose last known address was in the 2000 block of Sanders Street, is a person of interest in recent thefts in the Poplar Bluff area, Police Capt. Dave Sutton said.

The 23-year-old is wanted for questioning in connection with the thefts of firearms from vehicles and the thefts of all-terrain vehicles from residences, said Sutton, who indicated the vehicles were unlocked during the thefts.

"Other things were taken, [but] those [firearms and ATVs] were the biggest big-ticket items," Sutton said.

The thefts, Sutton said, have occurred within the past six weeks "all over in town and just outside of town."

Million, Sutton said, is suspected in "at least three separate thefts."

Warrants are outstanding for Million in Butler and Ripley counties on unrelated charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Poplar Bluff Police at 573-785-5776.
