SIKESTON, Mo. -- Authorities are still searching for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery Monday, in Sikeston.
The incident occurred at 11:52 a.m. The Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a call about a bank robbery at Alliance Bank, 820 N. Main St.
Officers responded and began efforts to locate the suspect. The suspect entered the bank and demanded cash, a news release states. The suspect was in the bank for only a short time and was last seen running around the back of the building with an undisclosed amount of money.
Department staff notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation and special agents responded from its local office, according to the release. No other information was available for release.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Sikeston Department of Public Safety at 573-471-4711 or the FBI at 314-589-2500. All tips may remain anonymous. People with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offender may be eligible for a cash reward.
