AUTHOR EARNS AWARD

Judith Ries of St. Louis recently earned the Milton Perry Award. It is given by the James-Younger Gang, a non-profit corporation.

Ries, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Knowles of Patton, won the award for her book on Ed O'Kelley. The book is titled, "Ed O'Kelley: The Man Who Murdered Jesse James Murderer."

Ries is a great-great niece of O'Kelley. She won the award for the best published book.

The James-Younger Gang is dedicated to researching, recording and preserving the true history of the James-Younger Gang.
