RICHMOND, Ky. -- Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball season ended Saturday night with a four-game loss to Austin Peay in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament.
Austin Peay, seeded fifth out of six teams, dropped the first game but eased past fourth-seeded Southeast 23-30, 30-19, 30-23, 30-24.
The Governors (15-15) move into today's semifinals against top-seeded and host Eastern Kentucky.
Southeast, which finished with an 11-17 record, was led by Jessica Koeper, who recorded a double-double with 21 kills and 12 digs.
Brittany Hastings and Jessica Wilfong each added 10 kills for Southeast, while Lauren Scannell posted a match-high 30 digs. Jill Miller chipped in 14 digs while Jamie Baumstark led all players with 48 assists.
Austin Peay (15-15) received 24 kills from Sarah Schramka.
Saturday's other first round match saw third-seeded Jacksonville State knock off sixth-seeded Morehead State 28-30, 30-23, 32-30, 30-25.
Today's other semifinal pits Jacksonville State against second-seeded Eastern Illinois, which tied with Eastern Kentucky for the OVC regular-season championship.
The tournament finals are set for Monday.
