Ed Pembleton, a National Audubon representative, will be guest speaker during the Four Seasons Audubon Society meeting to be held at the Cape Girardeau Public Library Wednesday.
The local chapter is observing its 10th anniversary this month.
"We plan to honor those who founded the Four Seasons chapter," said a spokesman for the club. "We'll also be reviewing issues and accomplishments during the past decade."
Pembleton and local chapter and friends will have dinner at El Chico's Restaurant at 5 p.m.
Following a short business meeting at 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Public Library, there will be a reception for Pembleton and founding members of the local chapter. Pembleton will speak to chapter members at 8 p.m. on national and regional issues dealing with conservation.
Pembleton, who helped found the local group when he was regional representative of the West Central Region of the Audubon society, now works in Washington, D.C. in the National Audubon's National Capital Office as director for the Water Resources Program.
The Four Seasons Audubon Society has about 250 members from eight counties in Southeast Missouri.
