No one was injured and one person was taken to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation after a fire Tuesday on North Frederick Street.

The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to a fire at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Frederick Street Manor, which is an assisted-living facility providing mental health services.

A 35-year-old female patient at the facility set the fire in a second-floor room and was subsequently taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation, said Darin Hickey, public information officer for the Cape Girardeau Police Department. A charge of knowingly burning -- a city ordinance violation -- is pending against the woman, he added.
