ASK JACKSON

The Southeast Missourian asked people what should be a priority as the Jackson city officials put together the 1996 budget.

Tammy Livingston: "There's some roads that need some repair."

Susan LaPierre: "I'd like to see the city of Jackson make children and youth a priority this year by perhaps building a civic center where they can have a safe environment for recreational activities."

Rick Griswold: "I would like to see the city keep up with the city's growth and handle the city's traffic concerns."

Scott Lohse: "I would hope that the library would not close. Our city also needs to attract more business."

Lynn Casteel: "We need more youth-oriented programs, not just athletic programs, but also music, arts and other learning activities."
