The Southeast Missourian asked, "Should Missouri follow the example of a few other states which allow voters to cast their ballots at a polling place before Election Day?"

Eva Baughn: "Probably not, especially in this election year. I think it's been pretty uneventful for the past six months. If something happened and you already voted, you couldn't change your mind."

Marvin Adams: "Since the ballot is already prepared for absentee voting, we should encourage as many people to vote as we can. This may be another way of getting more voters out."

Joe Hercik: "With a lot of two-income families, it would be a lot more convenient for them, and therefore we could get more people to vote. Also with their children's activities, it's hard to get to the polls before they close."

Eugenia Blaylock: "As long as we have absentee voting available for people who would be out of town, that should be adequate. I think we should keep voting to one day as it is now."

Irmgard Siemer: "I don't think we need it. Absentee voting is good enough if people can't be around to vote on that day. I would like to see voting on a Sunday, because I think more people could get out to vote then. This is done in Europe."
