A new stoplight may be placed at Highway PP, Farmington and Highway 34-72. The Southeast Missourian asked people if they could think of anywhere else a stoplight should be placed.
Randy Davis: "They should put one by the post office at Main and High streets. Traffic backs up to the Dairy Queen a lot."
Danny Wallman: "Put one at the Route D and Highway 61 intersection. It's crowded there in the mornings with the school and the growing number of houses in the area."
Ken Fluegge: "There should be one at the intersection of West Independence (Route D) and Highway 61. Traffic backs up because of the new school."
Loretta Fluegge: "I think they need one at Route D and Highway 61. Many times I see traffic backed up to Pocahontas Lumber waiting to get onto 61."
Melissa Brown: "I would say the intersection of Route D and Highway 61. Sometimes I go out of my way to avoid that area because it takes a long time to turn."
