The Southeast Missourian asked students at Jackson High School what they thought about making up future snow days on Saturdays instead of lengthening the school year well into June.

Eric Rosborg: "I would not like it, because I work every Saturday. I would rather go to school into June if we have to."

Kent Langston: "I would not want to go to school on Saturdays. It takes away from the free time on the weekend, and we wouldn't be able to watch Saturday sports."

Shannon Perry: "I don't think it's a good idea. By the end of the week, you're mentally exhausted. You need the weekend to recuperate, get ready for the next week and relax."

Erin Prince: "I think that's a bad idea, because people have to work. I think it should just be extended to June if needed."

Bob Schooley: "I would rather have to make it up on Saturdays. I have a trip planned for the first part of June, but I will probably have to change my plans."
