The Southeast Missourian asked students at Jackson High School for their thoughts about the Jackson Indians football team which is heading into its first-round play-off game tonight. Devree Flint: "It has been a team effort. The whole team has really been coming together, and we've been showing just what we can do. Everybody does their part so that we're able to get the job done."...

The Southeast Missourian asked students at Jackson High School for their thoughts about the Jackson Indians football team which is heading into its first-round play-off game tonight.

Devree Flint: "It has been a team effort. The whole team has really been coming together, and we've been showing just what we can do. Everybody does their part so that we're able to get the job done."

Kerrie Gordon: "I'm really proud of the team. I think it's really neat how the community is supporting them. It really means a lot to the players, and it keeps them fired up and going during the game."

Dan Mackey: "I think it's really great to go 10-0. I think the guys really want it. The majority of the starters are seniors, and they have been really dedicated and have worked hard."

Lauren Young: "I think it's really good for Jackson. No one expected that we would be this good this year. It takes lots of practice and perseverance. With 14 seniors on the team, that's a lot of experience."

Brandon Blattel: "I've seen the football team. They work out all the time, hitting the weights all the time. We have good fan support. Even for the away games, we have had a lot of local support for the team."
