The Southeast Missourian asked students at Orchard Drive Elementary School, "What makes a Valentine special?" Valentine's Day is Saturday.
Luke Clippard: "It's when they are honest, kind and sweet. They also share their stuff and give you a compliment."
C.J. Meadows: "A Valentine is special to me because they're kind, considerate, helpful, and honest. They are also caring, have a good sense of humor and take me for who I am."
Ashley Taylor: "A Valentine is special to me because they are kind and helpful, and they tell the truth. They are someone who you like to play with and do things with."
Bryan Sullivant: "My Valentine is special because she shares. She lets me borrow things."
Emily Courtaway: "A Valentine is probably a caring friend who would help you if you fall or something."
