Ash Wednesday services in Cape Girardeau, Jackson today

Catholic churches in Cape Girardeau and Jackson have several Ash Wednesday service slated throughout the day today.

St. Mary's School students lined up to receive ash crosses on their foreheads as a sign of humility to mark the beginning of Lent Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau will host services at 12:05, 5:15 and 7 p.m.

St. Vincent de Paul will hold services at 12:10, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Immaculate Conception in Jackson will have an evening service at 6:30 p.m.
