The Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts is accepting applications for the Otto Dingeldein Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts.
Individuals may be nominated in the areas of drama, writing, dance, music or visual arts. Letters of nomination should detail the individual's participation in or support of the arts, impact on the community, public recognition and length of involvement in the arts.
A special panel will screen the nominations and will not know the identities of the nominees. No name should appear on the resumes but names should be included on a separate cover letter. The award will be presented at the Art Council's 30th anniversary meeting in December.
The deadline for nominations has been extended to Nov. 25.
Past recipients are Otto Dingeldein, Jake Wells, Jean Bell Mosley, Jack and Betty Palsgrove, Wendy Rust, Grant Lund, Miki Gudermuth, Marjorie Suedekum, Dan B. Cotner, Aileen Lorberg, Judith Crow, Ruth Alice Knote, James V. Parker and Frances Crowley.
