A day after a Cape Girardeau man was robbed at gunpoint for an Xbox game console, police made an arrest in the incident.
Police arrested Brian Damar Cayce, 19, on Thursday and charged him with first-degree robbery in the Wednesday incident.
Shortly after noon, Cayce met the victim in the 1100 block of Cousin Street to buy an Xbox game console, police said. When the victim showed Cayce the console, he grabbed it and tried to flee, police said. As the two struggled over the item, Cayce produced a semiautomatic handgun and threatened the victim with it, investigators said.
Cayce took the Xbox and fled westbound through an alley on foot.
Cayce was being held in the county jail on $50,000 bond Monday. He was scheduled for a hearing June 5.
