The group leaves from their homes early today to travel to five different units in the Midwest for training before ultimately arriving at Fort Riley, Kan., in mid-December, Anderson said. They will replace personnel from Fort Riley who are being deployed overseas. The 10 include transport specialists, mechanics and two cooks. The soldiers will be on duty no more than 18 months.
