MARQUAND -- Jerry Deardorff, superintendent of the Marquand-Zion R-VI School District, recently participated in the Satellite Academy Winter conference.
The academy is a statewide project that provides school administrators with training in leadership style and skills, instructional leadership, school-management skills and school improvement plans.
The academy training is provided by a three-member team that includes a public school administrator, a university faculty member and a staff member from the state Department of Education.
