Sarah King was named first runner-up in the Miss Hannibal Pageant on Nov. 5. The competition is a preliminary to Miss Missouri pageant.
King, 20, received a $1,000 scholarship from the pageant committee and a $1,000 scholarship to Hannibal LaGrange College.
She was named the talent winner and received a $100 savings bond and plaque. She performed a vocal selection, using sign language. She also tied as Miss Congeniality and won the Miss Photogenic award.
King is a junior at Hannibal LaGrange College where she is pursuing a degree in communications. She graduated from Scott County Central High School in 1992.
She is the daughter of Gene and Linda King of Morley.
