A man reported that he was abducted and robbed after he got money from a bank's ATM in Cape Girardeau on Friday, police said.
A 35-year-old man told police he was walking away from a Bank of America ATM at 2001 William St. about 8 p.m. on Friday when a yellow or beige car with three men pulled up and told him to get in, Lt. Carl Kinnison said.
As the men drove around Cape Girardeau and later to Sikeston, Mo., the man said he was punched in face, arms and legs.
In Sikeston, they stopped at a Taco Bell restaurant, where two other men joined them, the victim told police. He was blindfolded and taken to another place, where he said was pulled from the car, kicked and beaten.
