FRUITLAND, Mo. -- Fruitland Livestock Auction Tuesday. Receipts, 575; last week, 504; last year, 1,140. Due to the holidays there were no sales the past two weeks, however, compared to Dec. 18 market today's sale steers and heifers sold 4.00-8.00 higher.
Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 1.00 higher; Demand moderate and supply light. Cows made up approximately 25 percent of the run, feeders 75 percent. Steers made up approximately 59 percent of the offering, 3 percent Holsteins and 38 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 35 percent.

PATTON, Mo. -- Patton Junction Livestock Auction Monday. Receipts, 1,173; week ago, 687; last year, 1,735.
Due to the holiday there were no sales the past two weeks however compared to December 17 market toady's sale steers and heifers sold 3.00-8.00 higher.
Slaughter cows sold 2.00 higher and bulls sold steady; Demand and supply moderate. Cows and bulls made up approximately 9 percent of the run, 91 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 58 percent of the offering and 42 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 33 percent.
