Toybox

Nathan's mother, a factory worker, has been sharing her resources with her mother, daughter and grandchild, who lost all they had in a fire just before Thanksgiving. Nathan, 12, has a 14-year-old brother not eligible for Toybox but who will also be looking for gifts under the tree.

Although Nathan's mom knows he'd like an Xbox, spending that much is out of the question. Instead she has to do all she can to help provide for her extended family and those living in her household to have some semblance of Christmas at all. He also needs boys size 14 to 16 sweater(s) or Hanes boxers in a size 32-34. Hats, gloves, socks or a sled are also suggestions that would add to this family's Christmas magic. Nathan also likes checkers.

Christmas for the Elderly

Mr. O, 76, has been a widower for years. He lives alone and has a daughter nearby who does little to help. Mr. O's eyesight is deteriorating from macular degeneration, and he is hard of hearing. He needs stamps and envelopes so he can pay bills on time and send an occasional letter. Grocery certificates for the Jackson Wal-Mart or Country Mart and a medium-size flannel shirt in any color are also needed.
