Award-winning state 4-H projects qualified David Green and April Miller to attend the National 4-H Congress being held in Chicago through Wednesday.
Green and Miller are among nearly 1,200 students from across the nation to participate in the 4-H event. Their trips were paid for by sponsors.
Green, son of Kenneth and Elizabeth Green of Cape Girardeau, is the Missouri delegate to the congress in the gardening program. He is active teaching other 4-H members gardening methods as well as judging 4-H contests. He also led a group in planting a memorial tree garden in a local park.
Miller, daughter of Douglas and Janet Miller of Perryville, is a Missouri delegate to the congress in the fashion review program. An accomplished seamstress, Miller sews many of her own clothes and has won numerous ribbons for her outfits. She also models in state competition.
