CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Partners Jerry Bittle and Tom Rebert have opened Broadway Arcade and Sports Cards at 1030 Broadway. Both men will be managing the operation.

"We have at least 15 viceo and pinball machines," Bittle said. "They are from Lemons Coin Machines Inc." The machines are locted on the upper and middle levels of the building, which previously housed a sportswear shop.

The card shop is located on the lower level. The merchandise includes cards from baseball, football, hockey and basketball, sports memorabilia, and shirts and caps from various ball teams.

The sports cards are shown in four display cases. A variety of sealed wax packs are also available.

"We thought the combination of the two businesses would go well together," Bittle said. "The customer base includes all ages, male and female." The business is open 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Bittle works with the Union Pacific Railroad and Rebert is an employee of the state of Missouri.
