Apartment damaged in early-morning fire
About 2 a.m. Thursday, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on Hackberry Street. Heavy smoke was coming from the Sundance Apartments, but the tenant extinguished the fire quickly, according to a fire report.
