Antique Center Mall Inc., a new antiques and collectibles retail operation, will open in Cape Girardeau this week.
"We'll offer a big variety of antiques and collectibles," said Gilbert Clinton, president of the company. "We have a total of 15 dealers."
Clinton, of Cape Girardeau, has been in the antique business as a collector and dealer of fine glassware for a number of years. He said the new store, which consists of 3,500 square feet, would open at 10 a.m. Wednesday at 2121 William.
"We have dealers who specialize in furniture, glass, primitives, vintage clothes and more," said Clinton. "Antique buffs will find a good selection of collectibles."
"We feel we have a good location for the new mall," said Clinton. "We're in the Town Plaza shopping district, and William Street is a high-traffic thoroughfare."
The center will be open seven days a week. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
"We have dealers from a three-state area Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky," said Jan McKernan, vice president of the firm. "We're all looking forward to the new store."
