NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- The Neelyville R-IV School District in Butler County announced Tuesday it will close for the rest of the week due to the flu.
District attendance was over 90 percent last week, said Superintendent Brad Hagood, but had fallen to 79 percent Monday.
When numbers remained the same Tuesday, administrators decided to close for the rest of the week, Hagood said.
"We're just hoping that closing down will give the virus time to run its course," he said.
