Another Cape Girardeau business reported a break-in and money taken on Sunday, becoming just the most recent area business to report a burglary. The operators of Pop's Pizza, 409 N. Clark St., told police they returned to work Monday morning to find that someone had forced entry to the business and taken money, said Darin Hickey, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department. The amount of money that was missing was yet to be determined, he said. Police are still investigating, he said. Three other local businesses -- Whiskey River, Trish's Place and Rhymer's on the Plaza -- have been the sites of recent early morning burglaries that have involved property damage and the taking of undisclosed amounts of money.
