CHAFFEE -- Chaffee German Days will be held Aug. 11-12. Kickoff will be at 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 11, with the beauty pageant. A dance with the band "Manitou" will follow.
Saturday, Aug. 12, will begin at Noon, with a talent show, horseshoe, washer and volleyball tournament, children's tractor pull, and country and Gospel music. Saturday night a sound system will play a variety of music that everyone can dance to.
The German Days Parade will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, at the high school. There are plans to have a car show and an antique tractor show. A softball tournament will be held Friday and Saturday.
As always, there will be food and game stands, along with children's rides. New attractions this year will be pony rides Friday night and kettle popcorn. Further details will appear in the Signal this month.
